I recently had Covid (assuming it was Delta) and I beat it by combining natural and modern medicine. I believe my experience might be able to help many, therefore I’ve decided to put it into a blog post. Ok.. first off, I feel it’s important for you to know…I SUPPORT YOUR PERSONAL MEDICAL DECISION. I believe in medical freedom and believe each person is unique. Some of the information you may read today may frustrate some of you, but know that is not my intention. I am only sharing this to help people.
Secondly, I feel it’s important you know a little background about my personal health because I do believe it plays a part in my healing process. I’d consider myself a pretty healthy 36-year-old female. I have a healthy BMI and my bloodwork always comes up perfect at my annual. I work out 3-4 days/week, which includes a 3-4 mile walk/run, strength training, yoga, and walking. During the week I eat a diet heavy on vegetables, some fruit, and minimal clean meat, and ancient grains. I limit(not exclude) inflammatory foods like gluten, dairy, refined carbohydrates, and red meat. On the weekends I enjoy life, family, friends and good food and drinks. I usually get 7-8 hours of sleep/night. I take a multivitamin, omega 3’s, and magnesium every day. In the fall/winter I add in extra Vitamin D3, Vitamin C & Zinc.
So as you can see, I truly prioritize my health not only because it’s my life passion and career, but because I understand the importance of it. I’m also UNVACCINATED and I did not have antibodies before this. (I had them tested in September). I made a risk/benefit analysis on my own health and body and decided, (according to the statistics), that my immune system could handle Covid and it did. However, it was no walk in the park for me and I can see how it could be a very dangerous virus for those that are elderly, have poor health, have underlying health conditions, or have a suppressed immune system. For me, it was like the flu that left me with bronchitis. I’ve had worse, but it wasn’t pleasant.
With that said… I do believe if one were to have the early protocol we had, it might help them. That is why I’m sharing this today. Maybe, just maybe, this can help you or someone you love.
A Note From Me Before I Share…
Before I start sharing, I want to mention if you have lost someone you love to the virus I am truly so incredibly sorry. My prayers are with you and your family. And as far as what I suggest regarding the vaccine. ….I will never make that decision for someone. As a health professional, I believe each individual needs to do risk/benefit analysis on their own health/body (with a TRUSTED medical professional) and decide from there. We are all so very different and what may be right for someone else may not be right for another. And while I’ve seen the vaccine protect many, I’ve also seen it not protect many, so I honestly don’t know what the right choice is for anyone. We still have a lot to learn about this virus and the vaccines.
At the end of the day, I personally believe we have got to prioritize our health and most of all, know where we are going when the Good Lord calls us home.
How to be Prepared for Covid
Tip #1 – Prioritize your health NOW!
– Eat your fruits & veggies
– Prioritize your sleep (big one)
– Exercise at least 4 times a week. Walk/jog, strength train, yoga, walk, spin, do a sport you enjoy, etc..
– Get 15 min of sunshine each day
– Intermittent fast (it decreases inflammation)
– Prioritize your water intake (cut the sugary drinks)
– Reduce inflammatory foods & sugar
– I would personally supplement with a Whole Foods based multivitamin, Omega 3’s, Vitamin C (3000 mg daily), Vitamin D3 (5000 IU daily), Zinc (25 mg daily), and Quercetin (250 mg daily). I increase my supplements like this in the fall/winter to boost my immune system. See the vitamins I take here. Essential Supplements for Women
(This is not medical advice, this is just what I, as a 36 year old female would do. You should always check with your physician before taking anything.).
Tip #2. Catch it early!
– Go buy some at-home Covid tests and keep them on hand when/if needed.
Tip #3. Do your research NOW!
Research which Doctor and which pharmacy you are going to call if you get it. I suggest finding a doctor that is open to using both natural and modern medicine to beat Covid, and if you are planning on getting Ivermectin, you’ll need to find a pharmacy that will fill it. Be prepared, do your research now. Feel comfortable quizzing your doctor on what their Covid protocol is and looking elsewhere if needed. I have not personally used the Frontline Doctors, but many I know have. You can book a telehealth appointment and get the prescriptions you need. Linked here. America’s Frontline Doctors
Tip #4. I Suggest Having these items on hand (Each item is linked for you. Just tap the word)
(*Disclaimer: I am not a Doctor and you should always consult with your physician first).
– Nebulizer
– Pulse Oximeter
– Epsom Salts
– Thermometer
– Apple Cider Vinegar

– Melatonin
My Daily Covid Symptoms – I was Exposed to Covid-19 by a VACCINATED person.
This person is a friend and I thanked her for giving me the antibodies. 😉 She was symptomatic, however, her case was pretty mild. The virus is everywhere and we will all be exposed at some point if you haven’t already. As I mentioned before, I believe in personal medical freedom and we should never judge a person by the medical decisions they make for their personal health. However, it is important to state the fact that I was exposed by a vaccinated person because we’ve been told the vaccine protects others and that is scientifically false. A vaccinated person carries just as much viral load as an unvaccinated person. The vaccine may or may not protect the person that takes it, but it does not protect those surrounding them.
Day 1
This was the first day I NOTICED any symptoms and it was 10 days after my exposure. I had bad allergies for about a week before this. I woke up with horrible allergies, a dry cough, and one red eye. I went for a 3-mile run. Physically felt ok, besides the allergies. That night I started feeling off. Right before I went to sleep my stomach started hurting & a headache started.
Day 2
I woke up with a HORRIBLE headache, low-grade fever & body aches. My hair hurts. Took it easy but still worked around the house some. Took some charcoal and a probiotic as soon as I woke up because I could tell I had some sort of bad bacteria in my gut.
Day 3
Still HORRIBLE HEADACHE, body aches & fever. Back pain set in. Ouch! I’m pretty tough but pains on this day were no joke. Advil still saving the day. I’m making sure I’m staying hydrated with the fever. Liquid IV and lots of water & hot teas. Also started a vitamin regimen of higher doses of vitamin C, zinc, D3. I also took quercitin, but normal dose.
Day 4
My headache was mostly gone. Low-grade fever & body aches continue. Hot Epsom salt baths at the end of the day help. Seems pretty routine that I start feeling bad around 4 pm the last couple of days. I notice my fingers and toes are FREEZING if I don’t stay up on my Advil. I also drenched my sheets at night from the fever.
Day 5
The low-grade fever continued. I finally did an at-home Covid test and it was a definite positive. I had been quarantined since the evening of my first symptom however because I was pretty sure it was Covid with the fever. This is the first day I notice my sense of taste & smell are totally gone. I have no appetite whatsoever. I have to force myself to eat. So bizarre! I tank pretty hard in the evening. Hands and feet freeze in the evening. I drenched my sheets again from the fever.
We called a trusted doctor around noon and got on meds by the evening. This doctor is open to natural and modern medicine. He prescribed ivermectin (the human version), doxycycline (an antibiotic) & pretty much the same vitamins I’m on except for much higher doses. We had to call around and find a pharmacy that would fill ivermectin and found a smaller “mom and pop” pharmacy to fill it. (We have officially switched our pharmacy to them now – Give people your business that deserve it). Apparently, insurance no longer covers Ivermectin because it’s not an “FDA approved drug for Covid.” Therefore we had to pay $175 each. Pretty messed up. I’ll spare you my frustrated thoughts on this. You can imagine. Anyways….
My Covid Treatment (Prescribed by a doctor who believes you can beat Covid by combining natural and modern medicine)
Vitamin C – 3000mg – 3-4x daily
Vitamin d3 – 10,000iu daily
Zinc – 50mg 3-4x daily (I personally cut this in half, it made me nauseous)
Asprin – 325mg daily to reduce blood clots (I personally cut this in half, Ryan did take this amount)
Quercetin – 250mg twice daily
Melatonin – 10mg at bedtime
NAC-recommended dose on bottle.
Ivermectin (antiviral)
Doxycycline (antibiotic)
Albuterol in Nebulizer (needed on day 6)
Piriformis steroid injection (needed on day 9)
Prednisone oral steroid (needed on day 9)
I used this video below to help keep my lungs open and active. I started doing this exercise a few times a day, and I also did a 5-minute yoga flow each day to keep my lungs open and active.
My husband and the Kids
My husband, Ryan, started showing symptoms so we started him on the same protocol. Ryan suffered from a heart attack in 2016 as a 36-year-old male. And while he has pretty much reversed his heart disease by eating a mostly plant-based diet, doing moderate exercise, learning how to handle stress better, taking daily aspirin, and using Repatha to lower his genetically high cholesterol, I was still nervous about him getting Covid. However, he did better than I did thankfully! He just suffered from fatigue for a few days, low-grade fever for two days, and a head cold basically. I’m not sure if it’s because he got on the protocol on day 1 for him or not, but I can’t help but think that may be why he did so great with Covid. He is also unvaccinated and never had Covid before this that we are aware of.
The kiddos never tested positive but most likely they had it. I called the pediatrician to see her protocol if the kids were to get it and she said most children do just fine with it and she would treat it like a bad cold or bronchitis and watch it. My 6-year-old had one red eye and two swollen lymph nodes in his neck for one day and that was it. I gave him his regular vitamins with high doses of Vitamin C (2000mg) & D3 (4000iu). My 9-year-old got a bad cold and a mild version of bronchitis that we treated with breathing treatments (albuterol), high doses of vitamin C (4000mg) & D3 (8000iu), lithy tree, Mucinex, and Chestal honey. I also made them homemade chicken soup with veggies and made them go outside every day to get some natural vitamin D and we walked around the block each day to keep our lungs active. (I dropped the vitamin c & D3 down to normal levels once their illness was gone). You can find the vitamins I give them, here. Vitamins I give My Kids
I also have to add a comment about our pup, Wilder. He never left my side. He laid right beside my bed most of the time. Although he’s still a young pup, (1 year old) and has lots of energy….he turned it all off just to be beside me while I was sick. Pets are magical creatures, aren’t they?
Day 6 – Things started to take a turn for the worse for me.
This is a pretty rough day. I’m so tired. The fatigue is real but this day was extreme.
Pretty much woke up, forced food down that I couldn’t taste or smell, took the meds and vitamins, and went back to bed. Woke up & we forced ourselves to do a yoga flow and walk the block. I just felt like I really needed to start forcing myself to do this. The cold hands and feet returned & my oxygen levels dipped down to about 92 for about 30 minutes in the evening and fear started to kind of set in. I had let my pain reliever run out. That’s what always seemed to do it for some reason. So I did a breathing treatment with albuterol, took a bath, laid on my stomach for a bit, and retested. Levels came back up to 97 and stayed there. After the breathing treatment, I’m feeling a little better.
Day 7
Woke up feeling pretty good! Hit a quick low though when my fever reducer wore off. I’m trying to stay on the fever reducer though because it helps me stay more active which is good for my lungs. I felt some crackling in my chest, so I did a 5-minute yoga flow, got in a steamy shower, did some breathing exercises, and drank some eucalyptus peppermint tea. The crackling seemed to go away. We also walked one mile today. Felt pretty good.
Day 8
Felt pretty good most of the day. We walked 1 mile in the morning but started feeling kind of weak around 4 pm. We tried to go for another walk, but I hit a wall halfway through the walk and we had to turn around. My chest feels very heavy. Went to bed really early. My fever broke through the night.
Day 9
Woke up Fever free for the first time! However, I felt pretty weak & crackly. So we decided to go to urgent care to get my lungs checked. Lungs were all clear but bronchitis is settling in. That’s what was crackling. So they gave me steroids. Shot in the booty, prednisone & also albuterol to do in the nebulizer. Just a crackly chest and not a ton of energy.
The nurse practitioner at the urgent care said… “Don’t believe everything you hear and see on the media. You are going to be fine. Some people have a hard time with this, but most people do just fine. After this steroid, you’ll feel better by the afternoon and even better in two days.” She was right!! Let me just say the steroid played the most crucial role! I do believe I needed every single bit of natural and modern medicine I took and the steroid especially!
Day 10
Woke up feeling great! New woman! My chest is still a little tight but not as tight as before. Steroids helped a ton! Starting to cough up a little bit! Smell & taste are coming back. But everything smells and tastes like vinegar 🤪 Yuck!
Day 11
Feeling better every day. My chest is still pretty tight though & I can’t seem to get the mucous to break in my chest. Doing two breathing treatments a day, staying on all my meds, and taking Mucinex daily with plenty of water.
Day 12
Hallelujah I slept sound all night, no coughing fits, and I woke up to the mucous in my chest breaking up! It’s so much easier to take a really deep breath! And I can tell my energy is slowly coming back. I am coughing up some interesting stuff. There was a bit of brown and red-tinged mucous. Not much green mucous at all and I suspect that is because of the antibiotic I’m on. I can tell this did a number on my body, however, I am on the mend and my immune system is doing its job! This is the last day I documented because I got better each day from here. That is how I beat Covid by combining natural and modern medicine.
A Note on Monoclonal Antibodies
I want to mention, although I did not personally get monoclonal antibodies, I know many that have gotten the treatment and it has helped. I would ask your doctor if it’s a good fit for you if you come down with Covid. If you meet the criteria to receive the treatment, they suggest it’s administered within 10 days of showing symptoms.
Update on My Health: 22 Days After My First Symptom
I’m writing this post on Tuesday, October 26th. 22 days after my first symptom. I feel pretty much back to my normal self. It’s taken a while for the congestion in my head & brain fog to leave, but the congestion is all clear and resembles allergies. My energy isn’t 100% back to normal yet, but I’d say 80%.
Day 13-20 I needed a short nap every day. I did my first workout yesterday. A low-impact bodyweight workout. Felt great! Today, I’m going on a long walk. I’ll probably wait until the end of the week to do a longer 3-4 mile run. My sense of taste and smell came back pretty early but they aren’t 100% back. Probably 90% back. I have yet to have a cup of coffee and I used to go to bed dreaming of my morning cup of coffee. I’ve been drinking Earl Grey Tea in the mornings and I find it just as delicious. I’m kind of hoping I can ride this tea train for a while and maybe never go back to coffee…we’ll see. 😉
In Conclusion…
I’m very grateful for our faith, our family, and our health. For me… this virus was like the flu that left me with bronchitis. Viruses are always around us. It is vital that we prioritize our health. Also for me, having a strong faith in God helps me manage any anxiety and fear. I do not fear death because I know where I’m going. He could call me home tomorrow…and I’m ready. 🙂
I do hope that by sharing my experience with Covid and how I beat it by combining natural and modern medicine, may help you or someone you love. I was fully prepared for Covid because I knew it was only a matter of time until we got it and I think that helped us a lot. My prayer is that this blog post will help you or someone you love if they come in contact with the virus. This virus may be dangerous to some and each person needs to do risk/benefit on their own body/health and decide what is best for them with a TRUSTED physician.
Stay healthy my sweet friends and family.

So glad you’re doing so much better! Love that you shared this and documented it so well. I’m sure it will be a help and encouragement to so many! Praise the Lord for His provision! After Covid everything tasted/smelled acidic for me for months. It eventually returned to normal though.
