What is Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching?
Integrative nutrition or “holistic” health coaching is the process of partnering with and guiding a client through overall lifestyle changes, with a focus on nutrition, fitness, and well-being.
It is my focus to integrate healthy habits into the daily life of my clients. At the same time guiding them to find their best self, through small, effortless, healthy lifestyle changes. I teach my clients how to fuel their body through whole foods, find the best fitness routines that work for them, and get to the root cause of what stands in the way of achieving their health goals.

My Health Philosophy
Is inspired by 6 holistic health pillars. 1) Whole Food Nutrition, 2) Functional Fitness, 3) Sleep/Rest, 4) Mental & Emotional Health (mindset, spirituality, relationships), 5) Environmental Health (low-tox living) & lastly, 6) Balance.
Whole-Food Nutrition
I believe whole foods nourish our bodies best, as our cells are made up of what we feed them. Eating plenty of vegetables, clean protein, and healthy fats gives us energy, prevents disease, helps us maintain a healthy weight, and improves digestion. I believe limiting inflammatory foods can have a huge effect on our overall health. I also believe in bio-individuality, which means each person is different and has different needs. I help my clients identify what works best for them.
Functional Fitness
I believe in functional fitness training, which ultimately means we train our bodies for longevity. Cardio, weight training, pickleball, yoga, walking, I love it all. Find what you love to do, what is best for you, and MOVE your body. My strength training programs consist of movements that mimic everyday life activities, keeping the body strong and functional.
Sleep & Rest
Quality sleep might be the most important thing for our health. Poor sleep negatively affects our brain health, nutritional health (increases cortisol which leads to sugar cravings and stress), and physical health. Our body must rest and recover. Recovery days are important. Over-training our bodies can do more damage than good. Lastly, learning to slow down our breathing & our mind is a very important skill to acquire. You’d be amazed by the benefits.
Mental & Emotional Well-Being
I believe our mentality plays a HUGE part in our overall health and it takes the training of the mind to reach one’s goals. If someone is in a constant state of stress (fight or flight mode), reaching health goals will not be without its challenges. We must learn to channel stress in a healthy way, maybe even remove those stressors or change our perspective. 😉 I believe in healthy boundaries. I believe in finding joy and gratitude in the simple things, which ultimately help us appreciate the gift that life is. I believe therapy is important for many people. Spirituality and relationships also play a big part in our emotional well-being.
Environmental Health
Lowering our toxic load can benefit our overall health in numerous ways. We are exposed to toxins daily, you can’t avoid them. However, you can control, what you can control. Like clean water, cleaner personal care products, non-toxic household cleaners, healthy nutrient-dense foods, and the list goes on. These toxins can take a toll on our livers. Our liver regulates our metabolism and keeps our hormones in check, therefore it’s important to support our liver.
Balance
I believe in BALANCE! Do I want my clients to eat healthy nourishing foods and move their bodies often? Of course, I do! But I also believe in community, slowing down, and the OCCASIONAL glass of clean wine, chips and queso, or grandma’s chocolate pie (insert your guilty food pleasure here). You see, it’s what you do most of the time that really matters, not what you do every so often. One of my personal favorite things in life… having a glass of clean wine, under the Texas stars, around a campfire with good Texas country music, good food, good friends, and good conversation. You see we must include things in life that nourish our souls, not just our bodies.
